First up is a sunburst mirror created by Isabella & Max.  The main ingredient?  Twigs from IKEA!  After cutting down the branches and creating a clean edge, they’re attached to a flat, round mirror (purchaseable on the cheap from places like Target), then spray painted white.  Painting them silver or gold would be a great way to introduce metallics into your home, another huge trend right now.  For more step-by-step instructions, check out Isabella & Max.

Quick!  Can you guess what the rays on this sunburst mirror are made of?  BZZT – time’s up!  This clean and simple version is made of sturdy poster board.  After creating a free-hand template from paper towels, the Nester (as she’s called) cut out enough rays to create a perfectly layered look.  Check out the full tutorial right now on Nesting Place.
