How to: Make a Modern, Floating Outdoor Plant Wall

Here's a quick weekend project that can turn an outdoor space into a private, leafy retreat. It uses beautiful, weather-resistant cedar wood, but avoids the cost of expensive cedar lumber. Instead, I bought more affordable cedar fence pickets, smoothed the rough surface, and created the same look for less! Then I finished off the whole project with a coat of SuperDeck® Exterior Oil-Based Transparent Stain. Here's how you can make one too.

Park Bench Project: Completed!

A while back I posted a how-to on using wrapping paper to enlarge scaled drawings. My inspiration to turn to Hallmark was prompted by a cedar park bench MWT was making. Well, this weekend he finished it, and I thought I’d post a pic of the completed project.

On the Curbly woodworkers scale, MWT would label this project ‘easy’ for an experienced woodworker, and ‘moderate’ for those somewhat new to the craft but wanting a challenge. Continue Reading
