How are your dish towels? If they’re anything like mine, they could use a little sprucing up. Toronto-based Avril Loreti has created a series of beautiful tea towels with a modern edge. Keep looking…

When I see stuff like these bookshelves, I am overcome with the desire to dismantle my office and steampunk it up. From Etsy seller Stella Blue Designs, the bookshelves are made of iron pipes and, in the case of the style above, Edison-type light bulbs. I particularly like how together with the books they create an art piece. To check out all of Stella Blue Designs creations, visit Stella’s shop on Etsy.

A wink and a nod to the ever-entertaining Like Cool.

The clock is hand-painted and hand-lettered, while the funky light utilizes a brightly colored textile electrical cord for a bit more pizzazz. You can purchase either through the CCS Modern Etsy shop.
That’s not all, Charles took his Lack hacking skills a bit farther when he created this fabulously modern bench from the token Ikea table, “insulating foam, paint, two 3/4 inch steel rods, and lots of sweat.” Continue Reading
