While Rachel from Smile and Wave used pallets as the support for her vertical garden, you could easily use scrap wood from other sources if you’re concerned about the safety of pallets. I spotted this  a w e s o m e  reclaimed wood planter box idea on Pinterest today (Are you following us? We’re pinning like mad!) and I couldn’t wait another second to share it!

It never ceases to amaze me how clever and creative people can be!  Take this coat rack from JJ Evensen for example.  I would have never thought to use old spoons as hooks!  Attach them to some reclaimed wood and presto!  Brilliance is born.  (Check out more utensil accessories right here.)
