I have a few walls in my home that I’m not entirely sure what to do with — until I saw these incredible copper shelves!
Inspired by some ridiculously over-priced shelves she spotted at Anthropologie, Mandi from Vintage Revivals decided to make her own version. They turned out beautifully, don’t you think? (I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t envious of the indoor jungle that accompanies them, too!) Check out how to make your own right here. Continue Reading
This adorable little house shelf would be a great addition to any spot where you need a little extra storage! While shown here as a jewelry organizer, I can’t help but think this would be great in an entryway for stashing a wallet, hanging keys, or as a spot for dog leashes!
We’re in the process of painting the front room of our 1920s home and I’ve been wondering what to do to make our built-in bookshelves pop. Well, it looks like I’ve found the answer!
While lining the back of a bookshelf with contact paper is nothing new, Rachel Denbow takes it one step further by designing her own — and showing us how! If you’re looking for a small home improvement project to keep you busy over the weekend, try this DIY window ledge plant stand. It’s great for storing other items you might need as well, like spices in the kitchen or towels and toiletries in the bathroom.
Have an awkward corner or just need some more storage space? Consider building one of these modern and stylish shelving systems — it’s easier than you think!
Mandi from Making Nice in the Midwest recently shared her DIY shelving system tutorial over on A Beautiful Mess and I was blown away by a) how easy it is and b) how fantastic it looks once installed. I’m thinking there might be a wall or two in my own home that will be getting its own shelving system soon…
This is probably one of my favorite DIY projects I’ve seen recently. It’s simple. It’s beautiful. It’s completely functional… And just about anyone can make it!
I mean really. This DIY pegboard shelving system is just brilliant. It would work in any space and can easily be customized to your specific size requirements or painted to match your decor. Check out the how-to on Apartment Therapy!
If floor space is at a premium, put your vertical space to work for you with some cleverly arranged wall-mounted shelves and cubbies!
This DIY project from Bolig would work well in a small bathroom, office, or any other area in your home that could use a bit more storage. (The addition of the under-mounted hooks would make this a great catch-all spot for an entryway, too!)

This DIY idea is a super easy project and a fun alternative to traditional bookshelves!
All you need are some 2x8s cut to size (or some reclaimed/scrap wood), braces, and some casters. From there you can probably figure out how everything goes together, but check out the tutorial and more photos over on The Clever Bunny!
Four upper cabinets: that’s all* the storage this small kitchen had when Molly from Almost Makes Perfect moved in. As she puts it, “I don’t know who these people are that only need four cabinets, but I am not them people”. See her DIY storage solution below!
Working with a tight budget meant having shelves custom built was out of the question. Instead, Molly opted for some good ol’ IKEA hacking. A mix of Lack shelves in different sizes proved to be the perfect solution. Continue Reading
