You may be familiar with the Unikko pattern, an iconic floral print from Finnish textile giant Marimekko. The bold print has been around since 1964 and graces everything from bedding to ceramics to shoes to cotton fabric-by-the-yard. It’s the floral darling of the textile design world. It also, apparently, makes for a fine-tasting macaron!

Make Homemade Twix Bars

I’m not a candy bar eater, however if there are Twix Bars in the house around Halloween, I’m gonna have one. Or ten. Which is why when I saw this recipe for homemade, no-bake Twix Bars, a squealed a little. And get this…the recipe took 2nd place at the Indiana State Fair a few years back so, you know, it’s GOTTA be good.    Here are the ingredients:

  • Club Crackers
  • 1 cup graham crackers, crushed
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup margarine

For frosting:

  • 2/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

How delish does that look? And just in time for warm summer weekend afternoon too! This quick recipe–yes, it only takes five minutes to whip up–has scant ingredients. They include:

  • 1 package frozen fruit
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
