I love minimal, simple frames, so when I saw this set of frames from Anthropologies, I absolutely I fell in love. I was actually going to purchase a few, but then I realized that they were no longer available. So I figured I could attempt to DIY a similar version. And guess what? I did! Read on to find out how…
- Float frame: I got mine from Walmart.
- Spray paint: I chose Krylon Short Cuts Gold Leaf
- Super Glue or Hot Glue
- Small metal washers
- Clothes pins or hair pins
- Gold necklace: I bought two at a garage sale for less than a dollar.

Just when you thought you had seen every kind of chair makeover imaginable, some clever individual decides to turn one into a picture frame. That clever person was Brooke and this chair’s back is now part of her ‘gallery wall’.

Perfect for small spaces, the Picturetable from Verena Lang goes from frame to table in about a second. It looks like those fabulous side supports are slipped into and out of holes drilled into the legs when they are extended. For a DIY attempt I’m thinking 1/4″ rod banged into 45 degrees at the ends. A piano hinge on the bottom and two smaller ones for the legs….hmmmm.
