This post is sponsored by the Home Depot

Some might say I'm a bit of a neat-freak, but if you ask me, I'm just an average gal who prefers a clean home. While I cherish my tidy place, I don't enjoy the act of cleaning nearly as much. I'm always on the hunt for products and tools that will make housekeeping an easier and faster job. Let me tell you what, guys: this is it. At the risk of sounding overly dramatic about cleaning, I have to say: I'm in love with this Dremel Versa.         Continue Reading

The Awesome/Gross Drain Claw

created at: 11/03/2010

When the makers of The Draw Claw offered up a freebie for me to try out, I watched one of their videos and was simultaneously intrigued and seriously grossed out. Intrigued because my master bathroom’s sink was experiencing slow-drain symptoms. Grossed out because I shed like a collie and KNEW the cause of the lazy drain.

In the past, MWT has actually dismantled the trap underneath the sink to get at the hair ball clogs, which made me feel totally guilty because the ball was made up of 18″ long brunette hair. Continue Reading

Our garbage disposal jams at least three or four times a month…partially because my wife tries to overextend it, and partially because it sucks. So last time, I ask the maintance man to show me how to do fix it so they wouldn't have to come so often. He refused, citing some legal ramifications. So I told him no thanks, and that I'd just figure it out myself.

So, I did.

Kitchen Stream/Sink

This stream sink, also known as The Mystic, is about 48″ long and slopes from 2 1/8″ depth to 4 ½”. Not exactly good for washing up the dishes, but it’s addition to the kitchen would be more for its entertainment value anyway. Elkay's The Mystic sells for about $1500. And if it proves to be THAT entertaining, you might be able to take tickets at the door to help you pay for it.
